1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MovAngel, a mobile application published by Movofo ("Movofo", "we", "us"). By installing or using MovAngel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
MovAngel turns things you share into it — a link, text, image, document scan, or PDF — into clean Markdown, and helps you keep and share the results. Document scanning, PDF creation, and PDF/image conversion run on your device. Optional features, such as fetching the content of a link you capture or syncing your capture history, use our backend services.
3. No account required
MovAngel does not require registration. The app creates an anonymous device session — a random token that is not an account and contains no name, email, or other personal identifier. See the Privacy Policy for how this is handled.
4. Your content
You own all content you capture, create, or store with MovAngel ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content. We license it from you only as needed to operate the service: to fetch a URL you submit, to generate Markdown from material you share, and to display your history. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and use the content you submit.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use MovAngel to capture, generate, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
- Interfere with, overload, or probe the security of our services, or use the backend for automated scraping beyond personal, reasonable use of the app;
- Resell or white-label the service without written permission from Movofo.
6. Free during launch
MovAngel is free to use during its launch period. If paid features, subscriptions, or advertising are introduced later, they will be disclosed in the app and in these Terms before they take effect. Advertising that may be introduced is described in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The MovAngel name, logo, app design, and original software are the property of Movofo. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Third-party content you capture belongs to its respective owners.
8. Disclaimer
MovAngel is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that generated Markdown is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. Saved files live on your device and in your anonymous session; you are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Movofo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost data or content, arising out of your use of MovAngel. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the app is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100).
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, announced in the app. You can stop using MovAngel at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or discontinue the service (or parts of it) with reasonable notice where feasible.
11. Governing terms and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Movofo operates, without displacing any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Questions about these Terms: support@movofo.com.
Privacy Policy

This policy describes what MovAngel ("the app", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have. MovAngel is published by Movofo. The short version: we do not require an account, we do not collect your name, email, or other personal identifiers, and your captured content stays under your control.
1. Information we process
MovAngel turns things you share into it — a link, text, image, scan, or PDF — into clean Markdown. To do that, the app handles:
- Content you share. The URL, text, or image you send to MovAngel, and the Markdown generated from it.
- A device session. MovAngel creates an anonymous session for your device. This is a random token — not an account. It contains no name, email, phone number, or other personal identifier. We store only a hash of the token.
- App settings. Your destinations, templates, and preferences, tied to the anonymous session.
We do not collect contacts, location, health data, or precise device location. We do not sell personal information.
2. Where your data lives
MovAngel is local-first:
- On this device. When you choose the "Save in MovAngel" destination, the Markdown file is written to a MovAngel folder on your device and indexed in History. Document scans, PDF creation, and PDF/image-to-Markdown conversion happen entirely on your device; those files never leave your phone unless you share them yourself.
- In your session. Captures you submit are stored in association with your anonymous session so they appear in History and can be processed. Content is used only to produce your Markdown and to show your capture history.
3. Server-side processing
When you capture a link, MovAngel's backend fetches that page to extract its content. The backend only processes the URL you provide; it does not browse or collect anything beyond what is needed to build your Markdown. Our backend runs on serverless infrastructure (Neon) that hosts your session data.
4. Permissions we request
- Camera — to scan documents and read QR/barcodes, when you start a scan.
- Photos / images — to save generated codes to your library, and to read images you share into MovAngel so they can be turned into Markdown.
- Share/receive — so MovAngel can appear in your device's share sheet.
Permissions are used only for the features described above. Denying a permission disables the related feature but not the rest of the app.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
⚠️ PLACEHOLDER — final advertising disclosure is pending. The planned production build uses Google AdMob ad formats (app open ads shown when you open or return to the app, and full-screen interstitial ads shown at natural transitions, in addition to or in place of banner ads). Replace this paragraph with the final ad-format description and update the Google Play Data Safety form accordingly before release.
MovAngel may show advertising through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). If advertising is enabled in your build, Google may use advertising identifiers and related device data to serve ads. Depending on your region, you may be shown a consent choice (Google User Messaging Platform) before ads are personalized.
- You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Apple Ads & Privacy Settings).
- Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy and Google's list of how Google uses data from partner apps.
6. Data retention
Captures are kept for as long as your anonymous session is active. Deleting a capture or using "Delete my data" removes it. When a session expires, its associated data is no longer accessible. On-device files are kept until you delete them or uninstall the app.
7. Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time, in the app:
- Individual captures — delete from History or the capture detail screen.
- Local files — delete from History → On this device.
- Everything — Settings → Delete my data removes your saved Markdown on this device, deletes your captures from our servers on a best-effort basis, and resets your anonymous session.
Uninstalling the app also removes all data stored locally on the device. You can also request deletion by emailing support@movofo.com.
8. Security
Session tokens are stored on your device in the secure keychain/keystore and only in hashed form on our servers. All communication between the app and our backend uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; the local-first design limits what is ever transmitted.
9. How long and where
Session data is processed and stored by our infrastructure providers (Neon) on their servers. Some providers may process data outside your country of residence; we rely on providers that offer standard safeguards for international transfers. Beyond what is described in this policy, we retain no independent retention schedule — deleting your data or letting your session lapse removes it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR in the EU/EEA, UK GDPR, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, export, correct, restrict, or delete the data associated with your device session, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal identifiers, the fastest way to exercise these rights is "Delete my data" in Settings, which is self-service and complete. For any other request, contact support@movofo.com. We do not sell personal information.
11. Children's privacy
MovAngel does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not ask for personal identifiers. MovAngel is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region).
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, announced in the app. The current version always lives at movangel.movofo.com.
